Things to do Nationally

  • Everyday use the Five Calls site or app or Phone Call your Congress woman Val Hoyle and Senators Ron Wyden and Jeff Merkley at (202) 224-3121 and let them know you are a democrat in the 4th Congressional district of Oregon, thank them for standing up to Trump and for democracy, and urge they vote like they represent a Democrat who wholly opposes the White House’s actions. If you like you can talk about any specific issue you wish to see from them.

  • Support those opposing The White House with calls, postcards, letters, or emails.

  • Vote in the Midterm and General Elections.

Things to do Locally

  • Every April, run for a local office at SOCC, Schools, City Council, Airport, Port, and other community councils, boards, and districts.

  • Join us for the Fourth Tuesday Democratic Party of Coos County Monthly Central Committee Meetings at 5:30pm at the Coos Bay Library as a Precinct Committee Person and vote on party issues.

  • Become a Neighborhood leader and build community as the most effective way to turn out the vote.

  • Volunteer with the Democratic party of Coos County.

  • Donate to the Democratic Party of Coos County.

  • Register with the Democratic party.

  • Vote in the local May elections.

  • Save up for a strike, learn about a General Strike and how they are the best way to move democracy forward
